Paradise Island - BaLi

22nd March 2011, without any proper plan, me and my boyfriend just book and fly to Bali for our very first oversea trip on ourselves.

However, first day arrival at the airport already very unpleasant experience .
There was a guy dress up light green trouser with blue shirt come to ask us about our luggage stuff , then without further asking , he straight away pull the luggage from raja hand and straight go to the customs, and then bring us to money changer without asking us.
Well , I thought I can just said thanks for his help in order to get rid of him, but without hesitation , he asked for rp 100,000 as tipping.
Story not ended yet, after he took the tipping. He took our luggage to a taxi driver , and the fare is rp 300,000.As it is just too much, we told the driver sorry, we going to take another cab as it was just too much.After raja went to check around. The fare actually is only rp 100,000. Bloody hell, if we din voice up , we just being conned buta buta .

Fortunately, my arrival to hotel is just nice to sooth my bad mood :)

Since no proper plan, we just browse through the brochures that we took from airport, and check out what can we do which is easier. At the end, Raja suggested we go to sun set cruise dinner. it cost us RP350k per person, but compare with Malaysia - Port Dickson (RM1500 per cruise, min 2 pax, max 15 pax), it is consider cheap. and so here we are :)

2nd day in Bali, we wanted to be more free and adventurous, so we rented a motorbike with RP50000 for whole day.
along the way , there are some store beside the road selling their own formulated petrol (i guess so, as it seem can last for very long). We put in full tank with 3 bottles, and RP5000 per bottle, but the petrol meter seem never go down. so may be next time we should only put in one bottle should be enough.

Well, this day we went to shopping. the first stop was Billabong Factory outlets. there was 80% off. if you are in size S and M, it will be a good place to buy some quality bikini.
And then we went to a free duty mall to have our lunch, of course, some local food. but in a cafe. trust me, the weather there is really really hot, hence a air conditioning place is a wise decision.

after lunch, we went to Legian, Kuta to find some souvenir. apparently the stuff here especially in Kuta is cheaper compare others places.

At last of 2nd day, we went to Jimbaran for their popular candle light dinner beside the beach. please note, the sun set actually is in Kuta, so it is a dinner on the beach, not with sunset scenary :) and i think our food is great with RP300,000. we have crab, red snapper, clams, squid, lobster, medium prawn, salad, frieds, and 2 bottles of Bintang beers.

3rd day in Bali, we decided to go to Ubud and Kitamani. Sadly, as we dapart in the late morning, hence these are the 2 places that we can go. but also fortunately, as these places are far, hence the journey also tiring.
We did not really stop at Ubud for exploring. we only stop by to try the dirty duck..em... yummy.. Must try :)

afterward, we straight go up to Kitamani, which heard from the driver- the named was come from a myth of 2 gods in love, who named Cita and Mana. when their love got to know by their big god, there were cursed to become the 2 mountain there. one is rock stone, another one is volcano.

Last day in Bali, since our flight is at 730 in the evening, the nearest activity in Nusa Dua will be water sport.

after that, we went to a nice hotel to have a nice fine dining for our lunch follow by a a kampong style food spa.

That's all my spontaneous Bali adventure.

A good place to recharge-Colmar Tropicale Resort, Bukit Tinggi, Pahang

I believe everyone of us do need a break for ourselves to peace our mind when there are work stress, personal issues,complicated emotion and so on, especially women :) and because of this ,i chose this place to recharge my energy physically and emotionally. and at the end of the trip, i am totally agree to recharge does not have to be take a flight, does not have to be the blue ocean, white sand or different colors skin of people.

Nearby our City, Kuala Lumpur, it has such a gateway to allow you to rejuvenate yourselves emotionally and physically :) It is Colmar Tropicale Resort in Bukit Tinggit , Pahang, which is about 45-60 minutes journey from KL.

On Friday, me and Rachel departed from Sg Buloh at about 2:30pm with my little Kancil car. Since the check in time is at 3pm, we were taking our sweet time to chat along the journey to the destination. suddenly there was heavy raining, and due to security concern, we stop by Genting Mc Donald to have my late lunch. a cold whether, with Mc Donald hot chicken porridge and a cup oh hot coffee, suddenly i feel though it was just a fast food, a Mc Donald.. but i really like it. May be it was the weather, may be it was my excitement.

With the short hang out at Mc Donald, finally we reached Colmar Tropicale Resort at about 4:30pm. as stated in the tourism brochures or website. Colmar Tropicale Resort was built based on French cultures and background. I never been to France, but when i was in Colmar Tropicale, I just feel nice. as the weather is cold, the air is fresh, the surrounding looks different too, there is no crowd, no traffic noise. it was just me and Colmar Tropicale :)

After check in, it was suprise when i enter their room, as with the amount i paid for, i did not expect the room is this great, or may be we just click and book and without any expectation.

We opened the window, the fresh air and cold wind was straight blow to our face. It does not sticky, it does not leave a layer of dirt on the face :)
Look at the pool, my favorite. As it was the place that i use it all by myself. No body share it with me, and when i lean on edge', i saw birds quietly looking for their food, i think it was the sound of they eat, not chatting, as the sound from them were there all the time when i enjoy my swimming in my swimming pool ..
Best time to swim : after 5 pm. first people start to look for food. people thought it was cool, but it actually not :), there is heater inside :)
i even have my this private time at 1130pm, and it was my first time night swimming. it was cool totally cool. and morning time is not a good time, as there is the time that family bring their children to play water at the pool. so you might feel disturbed with the kids noise :)

As i said, it was a gateway to runaway from the busy city life, thus, there were not much thing to in the resort. it does not have internet, no 3G for you to connect to the corporate world.

Therefore the next day, Rachel and me decided to go to a Balinese spa. i know i know. it was weird, but the spa was done by Balinese young lady, hence i call it a Balinese spa. with RM175, once hour body oil massage, 1 hour body scrub with sea salt in a very private room with a very calm and peace ambient and relaxing music. i think it is totally worth it. At least, Rachel told me the process even nicer than the one that she experience in KL spa centre.

After the Spa, we went to Botanical garden to have a walk, to near to the nature. i think once a while walk in the nature does inspire and remind ourselves the beauty of the world, and us, just a part of the universe,everything happen fora reason. just like the flower and plants here, there are beautiful, but after few days, few weeks, they will be gone and replaced by a new piece of flower. why ? i think that is the way they keep the people like us would always see them pretty.

If you were tiring after the walk in' the garden, you can always stopby the only Japanese restaurant in the tropical for a hot ocha and Udon. Compare KL, the price range is higher, but when you are tired and hungry, i think spend a little bit more to enjoy the food and the scene, it is worth for money :)
If not, you can choose to drive down to Buki Tinggi village to have a reasonable yet fantastic dinner, which we did too :)

At night, as the environment, the weather is just right, therefore we spend a little bit more, we have a pretty pricey red wine for 2007 Chile Carbenet Sauvigon. Though it is pricey, but it taste good. at least my this fussy girl friend who not really like to drink also enjoy the wine. so i take it is great :).

what else you can do ? reading at the pool, or just open your room window, then have a hot coffee and chit chat with your partner with the big, round and bright moon in front of you. or you can even wait up early morning, to go the gym then sauna before you start the day.
if you go with a group of friends,you can even have beach volley ball there :)

"Gu Lang Yu" in Xia Men, China

Well, well , well, after few days in Wu Yi Shan "rock trecking" and "kayakking" at the stream, we back to Xia Men, my brother home. however, our journey not yet finish, although XiaMen is like a quite develop city and industrial area, we still have a place to go-- Gu Lang Yu....

And FYI, "Yu" in chinese means island :)

When we touched down, firstly we saw the old red building (heard it is the island owner house) and a great greenish garden. It was really relaxing. i believe if it were autumn or spring, it would even more refreshing :)
Because even it was during summer, there are still alot of tourist here.

In the island, there is a wax museum. i think in term of art, chinese realyl talented. although the wax figure is not as define as Madame Tussauds, but I'd in holiday. so just go ahead :)

There are some paper hat sold in the island. well according to my brother, it is a specialty in Gu Lang Yu. and we found out instead of wear it as usual, we can wear it the other way.

Besides sightseeing in the island, you also can spend about 20 minutes on potrait drawing.

It is only cost RM15. Look !! my dad actually quite enjoy it :)

Firstly, look at the ball cover will allt he nuts , sesame and sugar. same as the inside. so when you bite it.. wow!! it just so delicious...

Well, from red ancient old house, with greenish garden to a copycat Madame Tussauds musuem, then with crazy hat and self potrait drawing and finally end with a delicous Mua chi, em.. it already very exhausting, so its time to home..

Wu Yi Shan (I) - China

The 1st destination we went in China with Ken brother is Wu Yi Shan.. a place with many rock- huge rocks, and a tiny clean and calm stream..

Anyway, we were still excited, see !! my dad, he is crazy just like the daugther :)

It is really high up. this trip really make me walk a lot, sweat a lot..

From the top, the stream look very calm. although it was summer, but it was a bit cold.
Feeling to climb up there was great. Prove that we are not too old, as there were a lot of old people climbed up there.

A temple at the top. just like those story in the movie. But in the movie, human can fly, in reality we have to walk.
As usual, souvenir stall sure is there for you :)

To go down, I was trying the "tunda", it is scary actually, it was so so no stable, especially when they walk on the stair case. I was so worry the thing fall down, but in fact, I think is ok, as look at my mommy, she just steady..

I rather walk down by myself, and in the half way, i still can be sit down and rest, and posting for a picture :)

It was a tiring but very excited trip, as the flight from KL to GuangZhou delayed 6 hours, and i have booked my Xia Men flight, Fortunately i able to changed the flight, or else....:(

2nd experience in Tokyo

It has been quite long time I did not update my blog. Since ever I back from Tokyo, friends keep asking me about my Tokyo picture. Embarrassed to tell, I really very lazy to choose, upload, arrange it. So I decided not to do anything at that moment.

But today, after dinner, an hot shower, browsing around in my album, out of sudden, I feel like writing a blog on this trip.

Well, this year Tokyo trip was L’OREAL incentive trip, and it was my 2nd time to Tokyo too. It has been about 6 years since the last time I went to this busy, trendy, high tech and culturally city.

Busy, Tokyo the heart of Japan, with about 12 million population, I think I can call it busy. Imagine if half of the population is driving cars in the city, how serious of the pollution index would there be?

Fortunately, they have this call subway or JR line which I use commonly in Tokyo. Their subway really built in organized, systematic. I would say their urban planning is really good. With about 190 yen, you can take a train from Shinjuku to Shibuya. See , with about RM 6, I can travel to both popular city . Shinjuku, a place for those have higher purchasing power. There have a lot branded boutique, and well known shopping mall like Takashimaya, Isetan. While Shibuya is a place that I am afford to shop there. Moreover, the things there is more trend and youthful. It just like our Sg Wang. And I bought a pair of boot there :)

I also went to Harajuku from Shibuya. It cost me about 130 yen (RM4). Unfortunately, that day is a raining day. I need to hold my umbrella to walk on the street with my wet Hush Puppies. But the bad weather seem like not a big issue for the Japanese youngster. I saw the girls wearing mini skirt, with full makeup and hair set walking on the street too with the transparent umbrella. Harajuku popular with all the costume dressed up especially during weekends. My day there was Thursday, I did not see any , but I saw the people there were wearing nicely with a lot of effort in the appearance too. And there also a lot of shop that offer nice and cheap dress/ shirt or even the cosplay accessories. It is quite interesting to walking there and looking those stuff which it hardly find in Malaysia where in Harajuku, you can find it easily :)

Another Place named Roppogi. A place that well known of its night clubs, bar, lounge. And it is near Tokyo Tower. Since in Tokyo, and this is my 2nd time to Tokyo Tower too, I went there again for a picture. It was a very cool night, raining quite heavily, some more I walk alone all by myself, it was tiring. At the end, I took a picture for full tower on the street, by the way, even I is just underneath the tower, the full tower picture still can’t captured. After that, I was loafing on the street and turn out sitting in a sushi restaurant to have my dinner. And there I bump into few Singaporean and so I have an companion for my dinner :)

Every 1st quarter of the year, time is going extraordinary fast for me. As there were so many celebration happened in the first quarter of the year.

We have Happy New Year, Chinese New Year ....and birthday celebration in my family.

In January, is my little nephew birthday.

In FEb, i have my 3rd brother birthday and my dad birthday too.

In this 2 months, i bought different cakes for their birthday. sometimes i did feel challenged what kind of cake that i should buy for them . Becasue i lwould ike to let them try all kind of cakes especially to daddy and mommy.

Previously, my family not really celebrate my brothes birthday. Usually they celebrate with their girl friend only. if they are home, my mum may cook a Mee Sua for them. But, in this few years, birthday celebration is happened. at least we dinner together, then sing a birthday song and then eat birthday cake together. it does really warm my heart expecially with the song sang by my little niece :)

At first thought it was a simple gathering to meet up with some old friends. But, it turn out not only a gathering for us, but also a meeting point to receive their invitation card or notification.

Brother 31 yrs old Birthday

Without realization, my 3rd elder brother, Jin Hong is already 31 years old. As every year, my brother birthday is within the chinese new year period, so we celebrate for him as well.

I think is because dad crave for BBQ, so we take his birthday as excuse to make BBQ at home and playing mahjong, as a famiy gathering for us too :)

We also invited my uncle and aunt, my sister in law newphew to come over to our house to have BBQ and catching out each other.

Due to some reason, we totally forget about the birthday cake at all for the "birthday kid". so i have to ask Raja to buy a cake when on his way.

note: my text to Raja : "Can help me to buy a cake, 1kg one, a pandan cake, ok ?"

At about 11pm, when i was just finish my shower, my eldest brother, JK was looking for me about the cake. i thought everyone forget about the cake, so i thought no need to take out the cake, but, who know's , JK remember.

What to do already:( we took out the cake, and it was a surprise to everyone. as it is really a Pandan cake. a pandan cake for tea time or breakfast.

Raja was so thoughtful that worry we have not enough cake to eat, he bought another 2 swiss roll.. so fantastic ..right.. birthday cake turn out as swill roll cake and a real pandan butter cake :)

sigh.. it was the first time of my birthday celebration planning for my family "failed". and somemore failed at the cake and candle.

Hahahahaha.. Happy birthday , Bro. never expect to do a surprise to you, a real surprise. Hope you like it.

Eye on Malaysia

3rd day of CNY. it was a nothing to do day.

I hang out at home, watched a vcd, taking a nap, others than that, zero activity.

Ring ring ring.. thanks to Jasz , called me to meet at eye on Malaysia with her boy friend who just flew here all the way from Hong Kong.

Eye on Malaysia, a place i never think of, except when it's grand opening last year, but due to the crowd and traffic jam, Raja and i always lazy to go.

At about 7.30pm, we both already there, but Jasz is still on her way.

So, Raja and me walked to the entrance, we looked at the price, WOW, RM 15 per ride, then looked at the size of wheel, it take about 15 min to finish one circle which seem like not really worth it, hence we decided not to go for the ride.

Instead, we sat there, and enjoyed the "Floating Clowns" and the "Water Lazer" performances .

Overall, the activities there ok, have an interesting show to see, have a giant fairy wheel to ride if you like to try. But the toilet and the food there is not that convenient. there was only one toilet nearby which you need to pay for RM 0.20 plus a long que to wait for in order to use it :(

About the food, the hawkers were there, but in order to buy the food, you need to que to a cashier to get a coupon to exchange for the food. there is only 1 cashier, so the que is long too :(

Anyway, if you have nothing to do in the evening, it still consider a nice place to hang out with your family and friends without spending so much money (with the condition you do not want to ride the fairies wheel).

CNY 08_ Reunion Dinner

Chinese New Year 08 finally arrived.

This year, we have 2 the special thing is my 2nd brother was not together with us, but he is celebrate with us via phone as he is in Chong Jing, China. Wish him all the best :)

2nd special thing is, we have extra 2 family member celebrate CNY with us.

one is Yu Xuan, another one is Tong Eng. my chubby and adorable nephew and my little small niece.

SpREad LoVe in RabbIT FaRM

After visit in Tropicale Colmar, we also been to Rabbit farm which is near by there as well. 4 of us just like a small kid, happyly play with the rabbits.

The Rabbit Farm has 2 section.

one is for all the visitor to play around with the rabbits,

in this section, the rabbit is jumping here and there, and it is not easy to catch them. As raja and vivien always lose them. of course, at lst they also able to catch them with me and michelle help..hahaah :)

another one is for breeding them. Em... we saw a very white and beautiful rabbit there. guess it is the mother. as we saw a lot of grey rabbit, but also a lot of the mix baby rabbit.

There also a deer sanctuary. Look at the deer below, how beautiful she is? there are plenty of them, all keep in a medium size cage. it might look a small habitat for them. But they just look very comfy there :) wish they are happy to be kept there .

Exprience the French Artistic in Bkt Tinggi, Pahang

Last Thursday, 20th Dec 2007, Raja, Vivien, Michelle and me went to Bkt Tinggi to explore the exoctic culture in Malaysia... , Tropicale Colmar in Bukit Tinggi, Pahang.

It is about 45 minutes drive from KL. we departed there at about 1 pm from Cheras and reach there at about 2pm.

First thing we did there was taking picture none stop, until i forgot i just had a muffin in the car , others than that, nothing in my stomach since morning.

As it is Xmas festival, there was decorated with Xmas atmosphere. with he bulding structure there is in european style, so you will feel like in oversea in the picture.. hahhaahhah...but the weather there is cold, so actaully to take a break there is not bad, could be a relaxing vacation.

Lamp, gate, street, wishing well, flower, snow men, staircase, bridge, big rock, clock even the event manager, we never wanted to skip a place that can let us be a model for photo..

As there is only Raja, the only guy, so all of us are the super model of that day :) and Raja is honored to take picture for us.. hahahahahhaha

My stomach really noisy, therefore we went to a restaurant to have a italian meal. May be is a public holiday, it was full house and we need to wait for 20 minutes for a table. and the meal there is not cheap. a bottle of mineral water cost RM4, a solo set of carbonara cost about RM 28....

In order to stop my stomach noise, we shared the meal and spent about RM 25++ there...still affortable :)

My advance birthday celebration

Well Well Well ! i know it is a bit late, but i like to share about my advance celebration with my lovely frens from BBA... Rocky, Ah Kuan, Sharon , Soo Chiam and her hubby, Xiao Aun, and surprisingly Chee Hoe ( he never join us for redbox since we graduated...as far as i remembered..hahaha Anw, glad you were there Chee Hoe)

Although it was in the afternoon, we still had a lots of fun. and as usual, Xiao Aun booked the room, Ah Kuan and Sharon came early, and I was the last..haha..wanted to make the GRAND Entrance!

Everything was fun, except the FOOD, but i guessed the most important is everyone is together with me to celebrate my birthday. the last birthday celebration in our gang.

i still remember those days in UPM, i spent most of my time with AIESEC, and not really with them. It is an honor and my pleasure and most definitely my luck to have them, as today, they did not left me out, and we still stay as good friends, sharing our happiness and pain. and we still celebrate our birthday every year.

My surprised 27's Birthday Party

on 5th Dec.. which is my birthday.. to award myself, i have taken 2 1/2 day leave for my birthday. after the morning shift, i went back with very excited mood.. firstly i went to a hairdo. i did a relaxer to my hair, and cut some fringe .. well hair style changed abit to make myself different.

although i have prepared myself in a very presentable and nice outfit to celebrate my birtday.. but it was very dissapointed.. as i was brought to The Curve. a place that i have always hang out. at least 2days a week. besides, im not brought to a restaurant directly, instead, i was "loafing' in the shopping mall.

due to there is no surprise given to me, moreover is no plan at all, Raja automatically become my target to show my dissapointsment, anger, and sadness.

after loafing at the mall for 2 hours, finally i can have my dinner.. and it is in Red BOX.. i became more angry, as i was asking and asking where is the dinner place, and Raja keep on ask me to wait. it is really frustrated me ..

BUT..... when i went into Room 44.. it was a big SURPRISED.. jason, seanz, san san and bridget were there waiting for me and sang a birthday song to me.. im really touched .. and the whole day, none of them were calling me or sms me to wish me which make me dissapointed too before this surprised party.

we have food, we sang, we play, we took picture, we laughed for the whole night... it was fun, wonderful, and memorable night..

My 27's Birthday in MATRIX

on 4th Dec 2007, i have celebrated my 27 yrs old birthday with my bentung school fren.. recalled back last year celebration, it was so embarrrased that i have got drunk terribly in the pub.. and the stuff overthere still remember me.. oh gosh.. due to last year was really so embarrasing, and i make sure the history is not going to happen.. it i have made it.. i din got drunk,, and all of us have fun with only drinking beer..however i still vomit becasue of finished 2-3 glasses beer at one time.. oh my god... the beer make my stomach so full, full of bubble.. thanks to kum, joshua, choon mun, rachel and sing..
